In March of this year, a number of local businesses conducting a community survey in the Provost Region. The region includes the Town of Provost, Villages of Amisk, Czar and Hughenden, the MD of Provost which includes the Hamlets of Bodo, Hayter, Cadogan and Metiskow. A questionnaire was circulated in the Provost News and at many local businesses. 165 completed surveys were received and the results have been compiled into a report that was released to the participating businesses on Monday, May 16th, 2011.
The purpose of the survey was to better understand the habits and desires of people who are shopping in the Provost Region. The survey also asked questions relating to the level of customer service, and the perception of value and competitiveness when shopping in the Provost region and other nearby areas. Several short answer questions were asked relating to what consumers would like to see, what businesses could do to encourage more local shopping and what goods are purchased when people shop away from the region.
A customer appreciation draw was conducted from the entries received on the completed survey forms. 42 winners of a $20 gift certificate have been selected. Winners will be contacted by the business that has their certificate.
By working together to conduct the community survey your local business community has shown its willingness to listen to customer feedback. Local business owners will now begin the task of incorporating this information into their businesses.
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT PARTICIPATED IN THE SURVEY!
